First Student is hiring a Diesel Technician to maintain and repair school buses in Scott City, MO. The role focuses on safety, reliability, and timely service with a Monday–Friday day shift and year-round work.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years diesel or automotive maintenance experience or equivalent tech school training.
• Vehicle diagnostics and problem-solving skills.
• CDL Class B or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair school buses to ensure safety and reliability.
• Diagnose and repair brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmissions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
• Complete work orders accurately.
• Assist with mobile emergency repair services when needed.
