Job summary

LAUNCH in Milwaukee, WI seeks a skilled bus maintenance technician to service a fleet of school buses. Expect a 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. shift, Monday–Friday, with a pay range of $26–$35 per hour as you diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gasoline buses with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will use Cummins Insite, Wabco, and Allison diagnostic tools, perform root-cause analysis, and conduct aftertreatment troubleshooting while ensuring DOT-compliant inspections and accurate paperwork.

Qualifications

• 3+ years working on buses or medium-duty trucks.
• CDL Class B with air brake endorsement preferred.
• A/C certification preferred.
• Pupil transportation regulations knowledge (e.g., IDOT inspections) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-spectrum service on gasoline and diesel buses, from routine PMs to major repairs.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, and aftertreatment issues.
• Repair brakes, air systems, HVAC, wheelchair lifts, and A/C units.
• Document labor time and materials accurately.
