Job summary

Zūm Services, Inc. in Palm Springs, CA is seeking a dedicated school bus attendant to help keep students safe and provide a positive ride experience.

This safety-sensitive role requires patience, attentiveness, and the ability to manage behavior while supporting the bus driver. You will assist with boarding, wheelchair lifts, and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid driver's license/identification/work authorization
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass background checks and drug test
• Ability to work split shifts (AM/PM) daily
• Experience working with children preferred

Responsibilities

Zūm is calling for talent to join our team of passionate people, who are transforming student transportation. As a school bus attendant at Zūm, you will play a crucial role in ensuring student safety and maintaining a positive environment during school transportation.This is a safety-sensitive positionbecause you are responsible for the care and supervision of students while the vehicle is in motion, and any impairment could create a significant risk of harm. School bus attendants must be patient, attentive, and able to manage student behavior while supporting the bus driver's focus on safe vehicle operation.

• Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely
• Monitor student behavior and maintain order during transit
• Support students with special needs, including operating wheelchair lifts
• Assist with emergency evacuations and safety procedures
• Communicate effectively with drivers, parents, and school staff

Requirements:

• This role is classified as a safety-sensitive position
• Minimum age: 21 years
• Valid driver's license/identification card/work authorization
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass background checks and drug test
