Job summary

Zūm Services, Inc. is seeking a school bus attendant to help ensure student safety and a positive environment during daily transportation.

This safety-sensitive role requires patience, attentiveness, and the ability to manage student behavior while supporting the bus driver. Responsibilities include assisting students with boarding, monitoring behavior, aiding riders with special needs, participating in safety procedures, and communicating with drivers, parents, and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years.
• Valid driver's license/identification/work authorization.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug test.

As a school bus attendant at Zūm, you will play a crucial role in ensuring student safety and maintaining a positive environment during school transportation.This is a safety-sensitive positionbecause you are responsible for the care and supervision of students while the vehicle is in motion, and any impairment could create a significant risk of harm. School bus attendants must be patient, attentive, and able to manage student behavior while supporting the bus driver's focus on safe vehicle operation.

Responsibilities:

• Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely
• Monitor student behavior and maintain order during transit
• Support students with special needs, including operating wheelchair lifts
• Assist with emergency evacuations and safety procedures
• Communicate effectively with drivers, parents, and school staff

Requirements:

• This role is classified as a safety-sensitive position
• Minimum age: 21 years
• Valid driver's license/identification card/work authorization
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass background checks and drug test
• Ability to work split shifts (AM/PM) daily
• Experience working with children (preferred)
