Zūm is calling for talent to join our team of passionate people, who are transforming student transportation. As a school bus attendant at Zūm, you will play a crucial role in ensuring student safety and maintaining a positive environment during school transportation.

This is a safety-sensitive position because you are responsible for the care and supervision of students while the vehicle is in motion, and any impairment could create a significant risk of harm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license/work authorization
• Ability to pass background checks and drug test
• Minimum age of 21
• Experience working with children preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely
• Monitor student behavior and maintain order during transit
• Support students with special needs, including operating wheelchair lifts
• Assist with emergency evacuations and safety procedures
• Communicate effectively with drivers, parents, and school staff

School bus attendants must be patient, attentive, and able to manage student behavior while supporting the bus driver's focus on safe vehicle operation.

Responsibilities:

• Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely
• Monitor student behavior and maintain order during transit
• Support students with special needs, including operating wheelchair lifts
• Assist with emergency evacuations and safety procedures
• Communicate effectively with drivers, parents, and school staff

Requirements:

• This role is classified as a safety-sensitive position
• Minimum age: 21 years
• Valid driver's license/identification card/work authorization
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass background checks and drug test
• Ability to work split shifts (AM/PM) daily
• Experience working with children (preferred)
