Job summary

Zūm is seeking a school bus attendant in Kansas City to ensure student safety during transportation. This safety-sensitive role requires supervising students while the bus operates, and supporting the driver to maintain safe vehicle operation.

Responsibilities include helping students board/alight safely, managing behavior, assisting with special needs transportation, and aiding in evacuations. A background-safe check process is part of the application.

Qualifications

• Must pass background checks and drug test.
• Minimum age 21 years.
• Valid driver's license/ID/work authorization.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work split AM/PM shifts daily.
• Experience working with children (preferred).

Responsibilities

As a school bus attendant at Zūm, you will play a crucial role in ensuring student safety and maintaining a positive environment during school transportation.This is a safety-sensitive positionbecause you are responsible for the care and supervision of students while the vehicle is in motion, and any impairment could create a significant risk of harm. School bus attendants must be patient, attentive, and able to manage student behavior while supporting the bus driver's focus on safe vehicle operation.
