Job summary

Durham School Services in Meridian, ID is hiring Bus Assistants to support bus drivers and ensure student safety during boarding, riding, and exiting. Responsibilities include assisting with seating, monitoring behavior, maintaining cleanliness, and timely paperwork.

Must be at least 18, pass training, and demonstrate strong communication. The position offers starting pay of $17.00 per hour plus benefits, with walk-in days Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (MDT) at 50 N Ward Ave,

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate clearly with students, parents, and staff.

• Demonstrates professionalism and diplomacy in interactions.
• Ability to assist students with boarding/deboarding and safety.
• Ability to lift and assist students when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with entering or exiting the bus safely.
• Monitor student conduct and follow company policy.
• Seat students using belts and restraints as needed.
• Keep interior of vehicle clean and presentable.
• Complete required paperwork promptly and accurately.
• Attend safety trainings and meetings.
