Job summary

Durham School Services seeks a Bus Assistant to help transport students in Davis, CA. Responsibilities include assisting with boarding, monitoring conduct, and maintaining a clean and safe bus environment. Training will be provided; walk-in interviews occur weekly at specified times.

The position pays $20.00 per hour. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, pass training, and can expect a duty-focused role supporting bus drivers and school staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate clearly with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to relate to and work well with children.
• High level of professionalism and diplomacy when interacting with others.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with entering or exiting the bus safely.
• Monitor student conduct and report concerns to supervisor.
• Secure students with seat belts or restraints as needed.
• Maintain a neat, safe interior and assist driver as required.
• Complete required paperwork timely and accurately.
