Job summary

Tri County Transportation Inc. is seeking a Bus Aide to assist students with boarding, exiting, and traveling safely on the school bus. You will help the Driver stay focused on driving while maintaining a positive, secure environment on every route.

Responsibilities include greeting students, assisting as needed, performing end-of-tour child checks, kneeling and securing wheelchair restraints, and assisting with stairs. Beacon Mobility emphasizes safety and inclusion, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Assist the Driver in safely boarding and supervising students.
• Greet students in a pleasant manner.
• Help students as necessary to board, ride, and exit the bus.
• Ensure all students arrive safely at destination.
• Perform child checks at end of every tour of duty.
• Maintain a safe environment on the bus.
• Kneeling and fastening wheelchair restraints.
• Bend and stoop as needed to assist with tasks.
• Ascend and descend stairs of the school bus.
• Fasten children securely in seats.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
