School Behavioral Health (BH) Coordinator

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is an entity within the Medical University of South Carolina that provides healthcare to patients within the rural health network throughout South Carolina. Under the supervision of the School Therapy Manager, the School Behavioral Health Coordinator works as both part of the clinical team and part of the school team to coordinate the provision of services by the telehealth provider. This position facilitates screening assessments, referral management, family contact, and telehealth equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate screening assessments, manage referrals, contact families, and coordinate telehealth equipment.
  • Collaborate in a positive, professional manner with medical professionals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
  • One year of postgraduate professional social work experience preferred.
  • MSW licensure by the South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work thoroughly but efficiently.
  • Will be posted in schools in the Charleston tri‑county area.
