Job summary

Northbridge Public Schools New Northbridge Elementary School - Whitinsville, Massachusetts is seeking a Behavior Technician to support students under IEP goals and develop Behavior Intervention Plans.

The position offers part-time or flexible options and retirees are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include data recording, collaboration with staff, and providing a safe learning environment through positive behavioral interventions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Social Work (required).
• Successful teaching or related experience in therapeutic programs or with students with emotional disabilities preferred.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Will implement student goals and behavior management procedures according to student IEP.
• Will collaborate with pertinent staff to develop Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Will record behavior data, and other data as specified in the Behavior Intervention Plan and IEP.
• Will provide a safe learning environment for all students using positive behavioral interventions.
• Will implement specific strategies, behavior interventions and social skills groups as identified through special education teacher.
• Will assist with instruction as outlined by teaching staff.
• Will work collaboratively with adjustment counselor and teachers to provide an environment conducive to improving student performance.
• Will attend training including but not limited to Nonviolent Physical Intervention and department meetings as needed.
• Will conduct training for staff on an as needed basis

Education
