Job summary

Wellesley Public Schools Hardy Special Education seeks a dedicated Special Education Behavior Technician to support therapeutic and instructional programs for students with disabilities. The role emphasizes collaboration with therapists, teachers and administrators to implement IEP goals and behavior plans across classrooms and activities.

The position requires flexible daily coverage, data collection, and strong communication with the special education team, ensuring safe, inclusive learning

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred.
Criminal background checks including CORI, SORI and fingerprints.
Passion for working with children/students with disabilities.
Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries with families.
Initiative, sound judgment and professional boundaries.
Commitment to culturally diverse students' potential.

Responsibilities

Assist professional staff in delivering core curriculum and supporting instruction.
Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and administration on planning and implementation.
Modify instructional materials to meet individual IEP needs.
Monitor student progress through data collection and reporting.
Implement behavior plans and ABA routines.
Support students across environments (classroom, bus, lunch, transitions).
