AWARE is seeking a Treatment Service Specialist in Helena, MT. Join a compassionate team delivering direct services to children with special needs in the school setting.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a Human Services related field preferred; equivalency considered based on work history, education and volunteer experience.
• Requires computer literacy and ability to navigate and record in performance-based software plus an electronic medical records system.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to work as a team member and report observations accurately.
• High School Diploma or HSE required, along with past employment experience.
• Must have or be willing to obtain a Montana Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record.
• Must pass an acceptable criminal and protective services background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services to children with special needs in the school setting.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school personnel to develop and implement individualized plans.
• Communicate behavioral and emotional observations to the treatment team and participate in team meetings.
• Utilize a wrap-around approach to ensure the child’s success in school and home settings.
• Assist youth in developing coping skills, social/recreational skills, independent living skills, and conflict resolution abilities.
