Job summary

AWARE is seeking a Treatment Service Specialist to deliver direct services to children with special needs within the school setting. This full-time role in Billings, MT offers competitive compensation and benefits.

You will collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to create and implement individualized plans, report observations, and participate in team meetings. You will support skills development and wrap-around care across home and school contexts.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a Human Services related field preferred; equivalency considered with work history/education/volunteer.
• Must have basic computer skills to record and use software and EMR systems.
• Interpersonal and written communication skills to work as a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services to children with special needs in the school setting.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school personnel to develop and implement individualized plans.
• Communicate observations to the treatment team and participate in team meetings and activities.
• Utilize a wrap-around approach to support child’s success in school and home settings.
• Help youth develop coping, social/recreational, independent living, mediation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
