Job summary

Centerstone seeks a qualified clinician to provide school-based therapy, performing assessments, diagnoses, and ongoing treatment planning. You will document promptly, coordinate with supervisors, and deliver services in virtual or face-to-face formats as needed.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field with eligible licensure. Prior clinical internship experience is essential in a behavioral health setting.

  • Master's degree required in one of the listed fields or a related field with specified coursework.
  • License-eligibility in the discipline preferred.
  • Clinical practicum or internship experience in behavioral health is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapy to clients in a school setting.
  • Formulate diagnoses after intake assessment.
  • Complete timely clinical documentation and maintain treatment plans.
  • Respond to supervisory communications and urgent care needs.
  • Conduct in-person or virtual sessions as appropriate and maintain professional standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESAbility to formulate a diagnosis upon completion of intake assessmentComplete timely clinical documentationCreate and update treatment plans according to policyProvide therapy services based upon assessment of clinical needs and diagnosisRespond to supervisory communication including urgent care situations and other clinical needs as applicable in virtual or face to face settingsKeep administrative supervisor informed of all potential issues that could impact the program or the organizationRespond to needs of clients in a timely and professional mannerDemonstrate good clinical judgment in client careKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESAbility to successfully utilize computer/electronic equipment and softwareQUALIFICATIONSEducation RequirementsA Master’s degree is required in one of the following fields: Clinical Psychology, Mental Health (MH) Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and/or a specialization in MH CounselingLicense-eligible in respective discipline preferred.ORApplicants with a Master’s degree in a related field (outside of the disciplines listed above) must meet the following criteria:Completion of at least 24 graduate-level semester hours in psychology, social work, counseling, or other behavioral health-related coursework.Relevant coursework and work experience in the following areas:Clinical treatment and treatment planningAppraisal and assessment of mental disordersPsychopathologyUse of the DSM for diagnostic purposes within a clinical internship or practicum in a behavioral health settingExperience RequirementsClinical experience is required.
