Job summary

Liberty Resources in New York is seeking School Based Therapists to support students and families within a school setting. This 10-month calendar position offers flexible work options over the summer.

You will conduct intake assessments, provide individual and family therapy, and develop treatment plans aligned with diagnostic information while using evidence-based practices. Collaboration with school staff will drive student success and well-being.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible and oriented to family work.
• Must have a valid New York State driver’s license and access to reliable transportation when required.
• EMR experience or proficiency with electronic records.

Responsibilities

10 Month School Calendar Position with Flexible Work Options over Summer!

Position Summary

The School Based Therapist will provide assessments and therapeutic services to students and their families within a school-based setting. Due to the nature of this work, clinicians follow a schedule aligned with the academic school calendar.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments including gathering data from parents, children and other relevant sources;
• Provide individual and family therapy, in the school and home environments;
• Use diagnostic and assessment information to support the development of a treatment plan;
• Utilize evidence-based practices
• Provide crisis intervention services when necessary for caseload.
• Actively participate on the School Intervention Team and partner with school staff/teachers to best support child’s success in the school setting.

Qualifications

• LMSW, LCSW, LMFT or LMHC preferred, permit therapists with clinical internship experience will also be considered.
• Must be flexible and oriented to family work.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer skills and the ability to effectively use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Must have a valid New York State driver’s license and access to reliable transportation when required.

Salary range:$54,225 to $60,225 for 10 Month School Year Salary Schedule, with Per Diem Rates paid for 10 Weeks Summer, designed to offer flexibility and control over your work schedule and income.
