Job summary

Jasper County School District in Ridgeland, South Carolina seeks a Speech & Language Therapist to administer diagnostic and therapeutic services for students with speech and language impairments. Under supervision, provide individual and group therapy, develop therapy plans aligned with IEPs, and report progress to families and school

Qualifications

• SC certification as a Speech Therapist; equivalent training/experience as allowed by State authorities.
• Knowledge of assessments and remediation of speech/language impairments.
• Ability to develop and implement IEP goals for speech and language.

Responsibilities

• Administers diagnostic testing to determine extent of impairment and plan for improvement.
• Develops and administers a speech therapy program aligned with established IEP goals.
• Provides therapy sessions, both individual and group, for eligible students.
• Maintains student records and attendance reporting as required by the District.
• Participates in IEP meetings and initiates IEPs for qualified students.
