Job summary

State of South Carolina seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct and indirect therapy in line with student IEPs. You will evaluate needs, write evaluation reports, and develop IEPs while tracking progress for Medicaid and timely documentation.

Requires SC Department of Education licensure in Speech-Language Therapy and a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology; ASHA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires Licensure by the SC Department of Education in Speech-Language Therapy.
• Master’s Degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology (Communication Disorders).
• ASHA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect Speech therapy services as indicated on student IEP’s and monitors student progress.
• Evaluates students to determine need for Speech/Language services, completes written evaluation report, and develops IEP’s as appropriate.
• Writes progress reports and summaries of treatment for Medicaid and ensures all documentation is complete in a timely manner.
• Attends IEP meetings as required.
