Job summary

AMN Healthcare is partnering with West Fargo Public Schools in North Dakota to hire a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a contract position. The SLPA will provide direct services under the supervision of a licensed SLP in a collaborative educational setting.

The role emphasizes supporting students’ communication needs, documenting progress, and coordinating with families and school staff while adhering to state supervision requirements and IEP processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech-language therapy services as outlined by the supervising SLP and student IEPs.
• Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP.
• Conduct student observations and collect data on student performance and progress.
• Assist with preparing therapy materials and supporting intervention activities.
• Maintain accurate service logs and student documentation as required.
• Assist with gathering information and documentation related to evaluations, progress monitoring, and IEP meetings.
• Collaborate effectively with school staff, families, and the supervising SLP to support student success.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities as appropriate.
• Understand and adhere to North Dakota SLPA supervision requirements and maintain regular communication with the supervising SLP to ensure compliance with all state and district regulations.
