Job summary

Career Links is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide school-based services in a collaborative educational environment. This full-time, in-person role supports students with communication disorders under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.

The SLPA will implement treatment plans, provide direct therapy, collect progress data, and maintain compliant documentation. Prior school-based or pediatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant studies, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or related field.
• Current Texas SLP-A License or eligibility to obtain licensure in Texas.
• Knowledge of speech-language disorders, therapy techniques, and educational practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students as directed by the supervising SLP.
• Implement treatment plans and interventions developed by the supervising SLP.
• Assist with speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication services.
• Collect and maintain accurate data on student progress.
• Document therapy sessions and maintain records per district/state/federal requirements.
• Assist with AAC systems and devices implementation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers to support student success.
• Attend IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
