Job summary

Career Links is seeking a School-Based Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time, in-person position for the 2026/2027 school year. The role supports students with speech and language needs under a licensed SLP, in a collaborative educational environment.

The SLPA will provide direct services to students from preschool through 12th grade, participate in IEP meetings, and help develop therapy schedules and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or related field.
  • Minimum of one year of SLPA experience in a school setting or pediatric environment.
  • Strong technology skills and ability to provide speech services using digital platforms.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, organization, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of assistive technology and special education regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the supervising SLP in identifying, evaluating, and supporting students with speech and language impairments
  • Support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Provide direct speech-language services to students from preschool through 12th grade in accordance with IEP goals
  • Develop and maintain therapy schedules and documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, staff meetings, and other special education planning sessions
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers to support student success
  • Assist with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and implementation
  • Utilize effective instructional strategies tailored to individual student needs
  • Maintain accurate and compliant records in accordance with district, state, and federal regulations
  • Foster a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment
  • Utilize technology effectively to deliver speech-language services

We are currently seeking an experienced School-Based Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)for afull-time, in-person position for the upcoming school year. This opportunity will involve supporting students with a manageable caseload in a collaborative educational environment.

Position Overview

The primary purpose of a Speech Language Pathology Assistant position is to provide treatment and support for students with speech, language, and swallowing deficits within an educational setting. Under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), the SLPA will help students achieve their maximum communication potential through individualized therapy and educational support services.

Compensation
  • Salary Range: $56,000 – $76,000 annually
  • Salary dependent upon experience
  • $2,000 Sign-On Bonus / Relocation Assistance for Qualified Candidates
