Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide an educational SLP program for students with communication disorders under the Special Education Director and site principal/designee.

Temporary placement starting September 14 through October 23, 2026, 0.4 FTE, with salary and benefits per the Licensed negotiated agreement. Bilingual Spanish is a preferred qualification in candidate consideration.

Qualifications

• Oregon certification/licensure as determined by ASHA CCCs; TSPC Endorsement for Speech Impaired required.
• Experience or training in ASD is preferred, with an educational orientation.
• Must have valid Oregon driver’s license and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Screen and refer students with speech and language disorders to identify needs.
• Complete paperwork for IEPs and chair IEP Team meetings as required.
• Plan and provide therapy programs meeting district student needs.
• Direct service to eligible students, individually and in small groups.
• Collaborate with staff to coordinate the district's program and supervise SLPAs.
• Bill Medicaid for services rendered and provide augmentative communication services.
• Travel between district schools and uphold laws and district policies.
