Job summary

Abilities First, Inc. in Middletown, NY, seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join our education center team. You will conduct initial evaluations, plan and implement therapy programs, coordinate with teachers and counselors, and document progress in accordance with agency policies.

Responsibilities include scheduling caseload, attending team meetings, and developing student treatment plans. NYS licensure and teacher certification are required; experience with augmentative

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Licensed by NYS Department of Education as a Speech Pathologist.
• NYS teaching certification is required.
• Experience with oral motor, dysphagia, and augmentative communication is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Initial evaluation and periodic re-evaluation of students.
• Plan and implement individualized therapy programs.
• Schedule caseload with classroom staff and related services.
• Coordinate program between student, counselor/teacher and case manager.
• Maintain interdisciplinary communications.
• Attend team meetings and annual reviews as needed.
• Prepare written documentation per agency policies and deadlines.
• Develop student treatment plans with program directors.
