Abilities First, Inc. is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist for their Educational Learning Experience program in New Windsor, NY, serving students aged preschool to 21. The role involves initial evaluations, program planning, and coordination with classroom staff.

The position offers an annual salary between $65,271.20 and $66,271.20, 35 hours per week, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical plans and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Master’s degree program from an accredited college/university.
• Licensed by the NYS Department of Education as a Speech Pathologist.
• NYS teacher certification required.

Responsibilities

• Initial evaluation and periodic re-evaluation of students.
• Program planning and implementation for speech therapy.
• Maintain interdisciplinary communications regarding programs.

Skills

Experience with oral motor, dysphagia, and augmentative communications

Ability to push/pull students in wheelchairs

CPR and First Aid techniques

Education

Master’s degree from an accredited college/university

Licensed by the NYS Department of Education as a Speech Pathologist

NYS teacher certification
