Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide school-based services in the Denton, TX area. The role focuses on evaluating and treating students, developing IEP goals, and collaborating with educators and families to support communication development.

Qualified candidates will have a master's in SLP, Texas licensure (or eligibility), and strong pediatric experience. This contract position offers a collaborative team environment and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Active SLP license in Texas (or eligibility to obtain prior to start).
  • CCC-SLP preferred; CFY considered for strong candidates.
  • Experience in school settings or with pediatric populations is valued.

Responsibilities

  • Assess students speech, language, and communication abilities using standardized and informal tools.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) targeting students speech and language goals.
  • Deliver direct therapy to students, utilizing research-based intervention strategies.
  • Provide consultation and resources to teaching staff and parents to generalize skills across settings.
  • Maintain accurate records, progress monitoring, and compliance documentation.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and professional development.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; consideration given to strong Clinical Fellows (CFY)
  • Previous experience within school settings or with pediatric populations highly valued
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
