Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time Speech Language Pathologist for a Joliet, IL school setting for the 2026-2027 school year. This 1.0 FTE position runs Monday through Friday with a focus on student success through evaluations, therapy plans, and collaboration with teams.

You will develop and implement treatment plans aligned with IEP goals, monitor progress, and maintain compliant documentation while supporting diverse student communication needs across school settings.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from a Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university in Speech Language Therapy.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• School-based experience preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language evaluations and therapy services to assigned students.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student needs and IEP goals.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and data.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student communication and learning.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to service recommendations.
• Maintain compliant and confidential student records in accordance with regulations.
• Support a range of student communication needs across school settings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support student success.
