Qualificações

• Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited college or university is required.
• Valid license as a speech-language pathologist granted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) or Bachelor's degree and valid Texas Education Agency speech therapy certificate.
• Ability to use accepted tests to assess communication disorders and conditions; knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech-language disorders.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to instruct and manage student behavior.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct independent evaluations and provide individual and group therapy aligned with IEP goals.
• Develop clinical management strategies and diagnostic statements.
• Participate in ARD Committee activities and interpret assessment data for appropriate placement and goal setting.
• Consult with colleagues, students, and parents to discuss therapy goals and progress.
• Collaborate with teachers to plan classroom activities to improve communication skills.
• Provide professional development to school personnel on communication deficits.
• Create a conducive learning environment and maintain student discipline.
• Develop and coordinate ongoing evaluation of services and participate in selecting equipment and materials.
• Maintain and file all required reports and records; comply with laws and policies.
• May supervise SLP aides or assistants.
