Job summary

The Illinois Association of School Administrators seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to join our Illinois school system, serving students at Steger Primary Center and Steger Intermediate Center in Steger, IL.

The SLP will evaluate speech and language skills, provide therapy, and collaborate with staff and families on IEPs and related services, ensuring compliance and positive outcomes across the district.

Qualifications

• Illinois PEL with SLP endorsement required.
• Experience evaluating and treating speech and language disorders in school settings.
• Ability to collaborate on IEPs and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a resource for staff in speech development.
• Identifies and evaluates students with speech and language impairments.
• Provides therapy to meet individual needs.
• Participates in eligibility determinations for related services.
• Participates in conferences including IEPs and Annual Reviews.
• Develops and implements IEPs for eligible students.
• Supports RtI speech interventions.
• Teaches with teachers when appropriate.
• Completes documentation and Medicaid billing.
• Participates in case study and collaboration teams.
• Facilitates curriculum modifications.
