Qualifications

• Valid Ohio teaching certificate or license issued by the Ohio Department of Education.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred.
• Master’s Degree required.
• Acts according to the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators.
• Maintains a record free of criminal violations that prohibit public school employment.

Responsibilities

• Manages the speech-language caseload and therapy schedules.
• Prepares and transmits legally compliant special education documents by required deadlines.
• Provides individual and group language therapy.
• Documents therapy progress and monitors intervention efficacy.
• Helps students acquire functional communication and social skills.
• Interprets data and test results to qualify students for speech-language services.
• Collaborates with teachers and families during IEP/ETR/504 meetings.
