Job summary

Bourne Public Schools seeks a Speech and Language Pathologist to provide therapeutic services for students with communication and hearing impairments, developing receptive and expressive language skills.

Responsibilities include evaluation, IEP development, intervention planning, data fidelity, and collaboration with families and school staff. Massachusetts licensure is required; Doctorate is preferred, with experience in a school setting valued.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts licensure required or eligible.
• Doctorate preferred.
• Experience in school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to professional, ethical and legal standards of practice.
• Develop, implement and coordinate speech-language services within the Bourne Public School community.
• Evaluate students using appropriate tests, skilled professional observation and collaterals as appropriate.
• Interpret assessment findings and convey information to parents and school teams.
• Participate with the school team to develop IEPs and 504 Plans.
• Develop and implement speech and language interventions and maintain data with fidelity.
• Complete medical billing documentation.
• Evaluate and report on student progress.
• Communicate with school staff, parents, administrators, physicians, and other professionals.
• Serve as a resource to parents, school team, staff and administration on disability categories and their effects on education access.
• Participate in improving school accessibility and environmental planning.
• Maintain student service, administrative and other departmental records.
• Procure, maintain and inventory equipment and materials for speech-language services.
