Job summary

Career Links is seeking a flexible Paraprofessional to provide support across designated areas of a Minnesota school district. This role offers 30 hours per week during regular Monday–Friday school weeks, with hourly pay ranging from $15.00 to $20.00 based on experience and qualifications.

The position supports SPED classrooms and students with diverse learning needs in a dynamic school setting. The ideal candidate will have prior school-based or behavioral support experience, meet Minnesota

Qualifications

• Experience in school-based or behavioral support required.
• Meet Minnesota paraprofessional qualifications via one of: pass the Paraeducator Competency Exam OR 60 college credits OR equivalent experience.
• Comfort with toileting and personal care when required.
• Ability to follow behavior plans and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for staff absences across designated schools or areas of the district.
• Support students in special education (SPED) classrooms in either a 1:1 capacity or as a classroom paraprofessional.
• Assist students with behavioral needs, including implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and following established classroom strategies.
• Support students with academic activities, classroom routines, transitions, and social-emotional development.
• Assist with personal care needs, including toileting, as required by the assignment.
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other school personnel to support student success.
• Adapt to changing assignments, student needs, and classroom environments throughout the district.
