Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) provides K-12 in-district and standalone schools for students needing additional supports to succeed in school.

The therapist role focuses on social-emotional services within a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with schools and families to deliver high-quality, individualized counseling and behavioral support. The position emphasizes data-driven instruction, PBIS CASE framework, and ongoing professional development within SESI’s nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, human services, or related field.
• LPC/LCPC, LCSW or LMSW, LMFT or LMHC, LMHC licensure required.
• 2 years of experience with children/adolescents in school, special ed, or behavior health setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, or family counseling to students per IEP/BIP.
• Collaborate on creating IEPs including social-emotional goals and meetings.
• Conduct social-emotional and behavior assessments and plan interventions.
• Implement behavior management strategies, including de-escalation and crisis management.
• Assist with data collection, documentation, and regulatory-compliant files.
• Deliver in-service training with teams, including expressive therapy and clinical staff.
• Collaborate with external partners to support students and families.
