Job summary

Grow Public Schools in Kern County is seeking a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide speech and language therapy for TK-8 students under licensed SLP supervision. You will support IEP goals, prepare materials, and help monitor progress in a collaborative, school-based setting.

The role emphasizes direct therapy, data collection, screenings, and coordination with teachers and families. In-person work at Grow Academy Arvin/Shafter is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple student sessions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with teachers and staff.
• Experience working with English learners is a plus.
• Fluency in Spanish preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students under supervision of licensed SLP.
• Implement therapy plans and protocols by supervising SLP.
• Prepare therapy materials and activities for classroom and pull-out sessions.
• Record student performance data and monitor progress toward IEP goals.
• Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records in data systems.
• Assist with progress monitoring and preparation of progress reports.
• Support with speech and language screenings and evaluations preparation.
• Assist with scheduling and family communication under SLP direction.
