Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
• Current Texas state license as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant.
• Working knowledge of federal laws, state guidelines and DAS policies.
• Knowledge of diagnostic procedures and accommodations.
• Thorough knowledge of communication disorders and related areas.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Organize and operate activities for supporting students with special education.
• Assist supervising SLP in managing caseloads and IEP development.
• Provide planned therapy based on IEP goals under supervision.
• Prepare clinical materials and monitor classroom communication activities.
• Document student progress and report to supervising SLP.
• Maintain records and attend meetings and trainings.
