Job summary

Founders Classical Academy of Rogers Elementary in Rogers, AR is seeking a School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support the licensed SLP in delivering services to students with communication disorders under IEPs.

The SLPA works primarily onsite across campus settings, providing individual and small-group therapy, documenting progress, and collaborating with teachers and families. Active Arkansas SLPA licensure by start date is required; school-based experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Arkansas SLPA license required by start date.
• School-based experience preferred but not required.
• Experience working with children in educational settings preferred.
• Knowledge of speech and language disorders and therapy techniques.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Implement speech and language therapy activities developed by the supervising SLP
• Provide individual and small‑group therapy sessions under SLP supervision
• Assist with screening students and documenting performance data
• Maintain accurate therapy records, progress notes, and attendance logs
• Prepare therapy materials and classroom resources
• Support students in achieving IEP goals and objectives
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and support staff regarding student progress
• Assist with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and strategies when applicable
• Observe and report student behaviors, responses, and progress to the supervising SLP
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and information in compliance with FERPA and district policies
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training as required
• Travel between school sites if assigned to multiple campuses
• Perform other duties as assigned
