Job summary

Gersh Academy in West Hempstead, NY seeks a Speech and Language Pathologist to provide therapy for students aged 5–21. The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, conducting evaluations, and adapting intervention plans based on outcomes.

The candidate will work onsite, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM, with occasional meetings until 4:00 PM; CPI procedures may be employed for safety.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Must have NY State licensure to practice.
• TSSLD certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language pathology evaluations and therapy for language, articulation, and related disorders.
• Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to implement IFSP/IEP goals.
• Prepare evaluations and progress reports; maintain documentation per state/local requirements.
• Apply CPI procedures as needed to ensure safety and positive student outcomes.
