Job summary

National Heritage Academies seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to join Westfield Charter Academy in Redford, Michigan. The role focuses on evaluating and supporting students with speech and language needs within a K-6 school setting, delivering evidence-based services and documentation.

You will plan and monitor IEP objectives, collaborate with administrators and teachers, and implement multiple service delivery models.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in speech-language pathology is required.
• ASHA CCC certification (or eligibility) is preferred.
• LARA license is required.
• Experience with at-risk students in school-based settings recommended.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with administrators to plan service schedules and IEP timelines.
• Lead multidisciplinary team meetings and progress monitoring.
• Conduct speech and language evaluations and planning.
• Develop and monitor individualized IEP goals.
• Provide specially designed instruction for communication needs.
• Document service delivery and compliance paperwork.
• Consult with teachers and families to ensure carryover of strategies.
• Maintain accurate student records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
