Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to support PreK-8th grade students in a school-based setting near Hickory, NC. This contract runs ASAP through May 2027, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week and a manageable caseload of about 35–40 students.

The role requires a CCC-SLP, school-based SLP experience or knowledge of IEP processes, and strong communication and collaboration with teachers, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Active CCC-SLP certification required.
• Experience with school-based settings or understanding of IEP processes preferred.
• Ability to serve diverse PreK-8th grade populations.
• Strong communication, organization and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with assessment and treatment for speech, language and communication disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect speech-language services to students with communication needs.
• Conduct evaluations, develop intervention plans, and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support educational goals.
• Complete documentation including IEPs and progress reports within timelines.
• Offer guidance and resources to general education staff on classroom strategies.
