Job summary

Scoot Education is hiring a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in California to conduct screening and direct therapy for students, while contributing to documentation of needs and progress. This role partners with school teams to identify opportunities for student growth and success.

You will work with general and special education staff, supervise SLPAs when applicable, and help foster a supportive, safe classroom environment while supporting IEP and BIP services and following lead educators’

Qualifications

• Active California license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Experience participating in IEP meetings and documenting needs.
• Ability to work with general and special education staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screening, evaluation and speech therapy for qualifying students.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collect documentation of student needs and progress.
• Work closely with Teachers and support staff across both general education and special education settings.
• Where applicable, supervise SLPAs.
• Build rapport and trust with the children in your care.
• Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment.
• Support Special Education Teachers in delivering IEP and BIP services.
• Follow direction from, and assist lead educators.
