Job summary

Scoot Education is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist in California to provide assessment and therapy for qualifying students. You will work within both general and special education settings, collaborating with teachers and support staff to meet IEP goals.

You will participate in IEP meetings, document progress, and support coaches in delivering BIP services while building rapport with students in a safe, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Active California license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Experience collaborating with teachers and support staff in education settings.
• Familiarity with IEP processes and BIP services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screening, evaluation and speech therapy for qualifying students.
• Participate in IEP meetings and document student needs and progress.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff across general and special education settings.
• Supervise SLPAs where applicable.
• Build rapport with children and foster a safe learning environment.
• Support teachers in delivering IEP and BIP services.

What you’ll do:

• Work closely with Teachers and support staff across both general education and special education settings.
• Where applicable, supervise SLPAs
• Build rapport and trust with the children in your care
• Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment
• Support Special Education Teachers in delivering IEP and BIP services
• Follow direction from, and assist lead educators
