Job summary

Mustang Public Schools District is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year in Mustang, Oklahoma. The position is full-time and located on site within district schools.

The assistant will support the Speech Language Pathologist in screenings, documentation, and implementation of IEP-related therapy, collaborating with teachers and staff to support student communication goals.

Qualifications

• QUALIFICATIONS: As set by state certification authorities

Responsibilities

• Assist SLP with speech-language and hearing screenings.
• Assist SLP with informal documentation as directed by the SLP.
• Plans and prepares appropriate written individual education programs for qualified students.
• Implements programs as directed by SLP.
• Documents patient/client performance.
• Trains and supervises professional and non-professional staff in the appropriate therapy needed to integrate services.
• Confers and makes recommendations regarding augmentative communication devices.
• Assists the SLP in providing periodic verbal and written reports and participates in eligibility, IEP and placement team meetings when appropriate.
• Serves as a consultant to regular classroom teachers regarding speech/language related services for IEP students in regular class.
• Maintains confidentiality.
