Job summary

Point Quest, Inc. is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide school-based therapy in the Bakersfield, CA area.

The role involves assessments, treatment planning, direct therapy, and collaboration with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to improve students’ communication skills and access to education. Qualifying candidates hold a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, are eligible to work in the US, and demonstrate strong organizational and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
• Clearances: DOJ/FBI Livescan background check. Must be eligible to work in the US.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities; knowledge of evidence-based practices and special education programs preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Assessments & Evaluations: conduct formal and dynamic assessments to determine eligibility and functioning; manage reviews and IEPs.
• Treatment Planning: develop and coordinate plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Consultation & Instruction: work with families to maximize generalization of target skills and supervise SLPA when applicable.
• Data Collection & Documentation: maintain accurate progress records and use data for reporting.
