Job summary

Covelo Group is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a school-based position in Burbank, CA. You will provide one-on-one ventilator care during the school day, monitor respiratory status, and administer medications while following individualized health plans.

The role emphasizes independent work with school staff and families, with a Monday–Friday schedule and no nights or weekends. California RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience caring for ventilator-dependent patients strongly preferred.
• Critical care, emergency department, respiratory care, pediatric home health, or medically complex patient experience preferred.
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with school staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one nursing support for a student requiring ventilator care during the school day.
• Monitor respiratory status and respond to routine and urgent medical needs.
• Administer medications and follow individualized healthcare plans.
• Support daily treatments, assessments, and health monitoring.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers.
• Help ensure the student can safely participate in the school environment.
