Job summary

Soliant is seeking a Registered Nurse to support students and staff in a Detroit-area school on a contract assignment. Provide direct nursing care, health evaluations, first aid, and immunization tracking, while collaborating with educators and families to ensure a safe learning environment.

The role emphasizes health education, chronic-condition management, accurate health records, and serving as a frontline health resource within the school community.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in good standing.
• Experience in school, pediatric, or related setting preferred.
• Strong assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, admins, students, and parents.
• Calm, adaptable handling emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to students and staff, including first aid and medication administration.
• Serve as health educator for students and staff; promote wellness.
• Maintain confidential, accurate health records and health screenings.
• Develop and support individual health care plans for students with chronic conditions.
• Respond promptly to injuries and illnesses as a front-line health resource.
• Assist with immunization tracking and disease prevention initiatives.
• Support school events and health-related projects as needed.
• Coordinate with families and educators to support student wellbeing.
