Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to support a school-based program near Sunnyvale, CA. This contract role focuses on student health, wellness, and safety, with an emphasis on pediatric care and collaboration with educators and families.

The RN will provide direct care, administer medications, maintain health records, and participate in IEP/504 meetings as a healthcare advocate. CA RN license and BLS/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license valid in California.
• Experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations highly preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a compassionate bedside manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to students, including assessment, treatment, and management of acute and chronic health conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and parental consent.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to support student health plans and accommodations.
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure confidentiality.
• Educate students and staff on health-related issues, including hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
• Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate care with outside agencies as needed.
• Support campus wellness initiatives and attend IEP and 504 meetings as a healthcare advocate.
