Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 nursing care for an elementary student in the Dover School District. The role involves hands-on pediatric care, G-tube management, and supporting mobility and daily activities within the school day.

The nurse will collaborate with teachers, families, and healthcare providers, monitor health throughout the day, and ensure safe transportation during bus runs. Valid NH RN license and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• RN license in New Hampshire required.
• CPR certification required.
• Pediatric, school nursing or complex-care experience preferred.
• 1 year of clinical experience in the last 5 years preferred.
• Hands-on care and mobility assistance experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 nursing care during school hours and bus runs.

• Administer feedings, medications, and treatments per orders and care plan.

Registered Nurse (RN) - School-Based 1:1 Student Care

Interim HealthCare is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one‑on‑one nursing care to an elementary school student within the Dover School District.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an RN who enjoys working with children and wants to make a meaningful difference in a student’s school day. The ideal candidate will be patient, attentive, and comfortable providing hands‑on care while helping the student participate as fully and safely as possible in the school environment.

Position Details

Schedule: Monday-Friday | Modified schedule 12:00-3:00pm (working up to full day schedule 8:00am-3:00pm)

Setting: Dover School District | Elementary School | 1:1 Student Care

Additional Requirement: Nursing support during school bus runs

Student Care Needs

• G-tube care and management
• Wheelchair‑dependent mobility
• Visual impairment
• Non‑verbal communication
• Assistance with activities of daily living and personal care
• Close monitoring and support throughout the school day
• Safe transportation support during the school bus run

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, individualized 1:1 nursing care throughout the school day and during the assigned bus run
• Monitor the student’s health status and respond appropriately to medical needs
• Provide G-tube care and administer feedings, medications, and treatments according to physician orders and the student’s care plan
• Assist with positioning, mobility, transfers, and other physical care needs as appropriate
• Monitor for changes in the student’s condition and communicate concerns promptly
• Support the student’s communication, comfort, safety, and participation in the classroom and school activities
• Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, parents/guardians, and healthcare providers
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation
• Follow all school, district, and nursing care policies and procedures
• Provide a calm, supportive, and nurturing presence for the student throughout the school day

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Hampshire
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience within the last five years
• Pediatric, school nursing, G-tube, or complex-care experience preferred
• Current CPR Certification required
• Comfortable providing hands‑on care and assisting with mobility and positioning
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Reliable transportation
• Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills
• Patient, compassionate, dependable, and attentive approach to caring for children
• Ability to work collaboratively with school personnel, families, and healthcare professionals
