Big Smiles Florida, an in-school dental program, seeks a Registered Dental Hygienist to serve Tampa, FL and surrounding areas. Enjoy a school-day schedule with travel to campuses, providing prophylaxis, sealants, and fluoride under supervision with a team.

Qualifications

• Must hold active RDH license.
• Working experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
• Valid driver license and reliable transportation.
• SDF Certification.
• Works well with others (children and adults).
• Current (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with oral health management of all patients as a team member.
• Verify patient identity before treatment and document verification.
• Obtain oral health assessments for new and ongoing patients.
• Review medical history and pertinent oral health information.
• Provide hygiene services including prophylaxis, scaling, sealants and fluoride.
• Provide dental assistance as directed by the dentist.
• Educate patients on oral health care and habits.
• Document services on patient charts.
• Travel daily to school sites.
• Bilingual ability is a plus.
