Job summary

Smile New York Outreach seeks a Full-time Registered Dental Hygienist to serve underserved children in Brooklyn and surrounding areas. The role follows a school-day schedule with roughly 6–7 hours from about 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., avoiding evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Active RDH license required.
• Minimum 1 year RDH experience.
• Valid State ID and reliable transportation; local travel.
• Works well with children and adults; fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; walk stairs; stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Assist with oral health management and be a team player.
• Verify patient identity before treatment.
• Obtain oral health assessments for new and follow-up patients.
• Review medical history and pertinent information.
• Provide prophylaxis, sealants, and fluoride per standards.
• Assist dentist as directed; educate patients on oral health.
• Document services on patient charts; travel daily to schools.
