Job summary

Norwalk Public Schools seeks a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) paraeducator for the 2026-2027 school year at Fox Run Elementary. Under supervision, the RBT assists in implementing IEP goals and ABA-based interventions for students, collecting data, and supporting progress monitoring in inclusive and special education settings.

Responsibilities include data entry, reporting trends, and collaboration with BCBA and teachers to implement behavior plans, discrete trials, and reinforcers, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred or Associate's Degree (60 credits) or HS diploma with Para-Pro.
• Two or more years under direct clinical supervision of a BCBA with RBT certification.
• Experience working with students with high management needs.
• Willingness to participate in district PD and required background checks.
• Participation in crisis prevention and restraint training as arranged by the district.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing IEP goals and ABA-informed interventions.
• Follow policies to ensure student safety and proper classroom procedures.
• Record and report data as per IEP/behavior plans.
• Assist students with disabilities in general and special education settings.
• Support data collection and progress monitoring per schedules.
