Job summary

Easterseals Florida is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our school-based therapy team serving students across Volusia County Schools. This role offers a school-year schedule with full-time or PRN opportunities, mentorship and support, and a focus on pediatric developmental goals within a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Expect to work with supervising therapists to implement plans, document progress, and coordinate care using EMR, Office 365,

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from a PTA program accredited by CAPTE
• Current Florida PTA License
• NPI preferred
• Pediatric experience; mentorship provided
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and EMR
• Knowledge of therapy equipment and safety procedures
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Integrity, tact and sound judgement
• Ability to lift/carry children up to 50 lbs
• Ability to meet driver qualifications if needed

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by supervising therapists
• Provide quality therapy services to pediatric clients
• Document client progress, outcomes, and billing information
• Utilize EMR, Office 365, Teams and Outlook
• Collaborate with families and professionals for coordinated care
• Assist with managing therapy equipment and education for families
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized therapy environment
• Support clients across Easterseals programs as needed
• Protect client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility and teamwork
